MyWriMo from In the Bookcase

MyWriMo @ In the BookcaseNovember is the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) for thousands of writers. It's a time to start and finish a novel of 50,000 words. Does this sound a bit daunting? It does to me! I thoroughly enjoy creative writing, but 50,000 words in one month, when I have so many other things to do, sounds impossible. Tarissa from In the Bookcase thought so too, apparently, because she started My Writing Month (MyWriMo). To see her post, click here.

The basic idea is that you choose the rules for your writing month. If you want to work on short stories, go ahead. If you choose to finish a novel, go for it!

This November I hope to continue writing a short novel I have been working on for several months. My goal isn't to finish it, but just to add and revise what I have already written. This way I can get just as much fun out of NaNoWriMo without the strict guideline.

Check out Tarissa's post to find out how to join.

  1. Hi Jennifer! This is exciting that you're planning to join up in the MyWriMo idea... I appreciate you doing a blog post about it too.

I'm really lovin' what I've seen of your book blog so far. It's always fun to find a fellow bookworm in the blog-world.

I hope you'll give us updates on your writing project throughout the month of November... I'm really looking forward to MyWriMo!

    Blessings,
    ~ Tarissa
