I must admit that I started this blog for selfish reasons. I love to read, and I also like to keep track of what I read. I like looking back over the past week/month/year and thinking about all of the things I read. Perhaps that sounds silly, but that's just me. Over time, this blog has grown into a—I hope—welcoming place of book-talk. You are welcome to join in!
My biggest complaint about book reviews is that many reviewers don't include information about sexual content and crude language, two things that often turn me away from a book. I strive to review books that are wholly clean, but, in the event of some unpleasantry, I'll definitely make it known. Also, writing style is really important to me. I prefer not to waste my time with a book that isn't written well, so my biggest recommendations are for books that not only have great plots but also have great writing! Lastly, I am a Christian, and—simply put—it shows.
