It was a dull autumn day and Jill Pole was crying behind the gym.
It's simple, yes, but so intriguing. I can picture a dull autumn day, and why is Jill crying? I'm about a third into this book and loving it.
Definitely intriguing! A good beginning for a book.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, I'm seeing a pic of the Hamburgler instead of the cover of your book. So I had to click on it to see that you're reading The Silver Chair! I love the Chronicles of Narnia, and this one felt like the most unusual to me because of all of their time underground.

I've never read the C.S. Lewis books myself, but this is an intriguing beginning to get one hooked.
